Journalists and PR agents live in a sort of strange symbiosis. They need each other, but the fact is that they are on opposite sides. Therefore, having a professional relationship is a very important thing for doing a quality work on both sides. In my carrier as a journalist, PR agencies or special services are some of the main channels in getting information. Although over time I have made contacts with leaders in financial industry in Croatia, I have rarely had, at least in my contacts with girls from IMC, need for additional explanation to my inquiry. Consequently, I can honestly say that IMC does a great job. They send answers within deadlines, and questions are some times, even without me pointing them out, channeled to collocutors most entitled to giving a good answer. Given the fact that people whose opinions I need for my texts have more than enough work even without journalists’ inquiries, it is probably IMC’s credit that they convinced their clients in importance of timely (and good) answers to questions from Lider and other media. My only regret is that some of the IMC people I know only through a telephone, but I hope to correct that soon.
